Irony
2002-11-20

Irony is, or so to speak.
Time was the when, and tempts the now.
The bold dream along-side the meek,
So where's the light we often seek?
And where's the truth in trusts we vow?
Irony is, or so to speak;
To kill the great, and crown the weak,
To know the lie and take the bow.
Time was the when, and tempts the now;
The stem of entropy looks bleak:
No limbs grow from its fragile bough.
Irony is, or so to speak:
The tightest weaves will always leak;
In life, vile as pure will endow.
Time was the when and tempts the now.
Thought’s careful plane seems deep and sleek,
Yet depth falls as time will allow.
Irony is, or so to speak
Time was the when, and tempts the now.
